I thought the exact same thing after i saw it.
This film would be perfect for a video game.
They could throw a couple of extra things in, and then pitch it to ... Well, i bet EA would love to have Rambo on their list of games!

Have rockstar do it,
They could make it no problem.
Give it a very simular gameplay system to Manhunt,
Stealth kills with Multiple weapons and Intense High Caliber Gunfights.

Heres what i like to see happen for the game: The game should include all 4 movies with a "prequel" level showing how Rambo started out in vietnam showing exactly what happen to him and his "Baker Team" which drove him to become the man he ended up becoming. I also like to see elements from previous games featured in it like: METAL GEAR SOLID SPLINTER CELL MERCENARIES FREEDOM FIGHTERS AND MAYBE, POSSIBLY "HALO." BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY....STALLONE HAS TO DO THE VOICE!!!! SO, STILL FEEL FREE TO SPILL YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS MY FELLOW "RAMBO HEADS" 'CUZ I BELIEVE THIS IS A TOPIC THAT NEEDS TO BE DISCUSSED MORE.  |

I couldn´t imagine First Blood being made new, for video game release.
But i am sure that this has crossed Slys mind before, there must be a really good and hidden explanation to why, Rambo isnt coming out as a Video game.
Someone should ask him! (:

What about two PLAYABLE "flashback" scenaries, one in 1985's Vietnam ('RAMBO:FBP2') and one in Afghanistan ('RAMBO III')? Then, the REAL game starts as it is supposed to do... set in either Thailand and Burma.

Add sequences from First Blood and you got a winning idea there, Jay. It'd be kinda like Die Hard trilogy was on the PS1.
