It must be fascinating the amount of people who dismissed the violence and the portrayal of the Burmese military in Rambo to now see exactly how they have acted in light of the natural disaster that hit the country.
As Sly tried to make the point they have been killing their own for like 60 years so why would they be bothered when a cyclone had done the job for them.
Maybe when the liberal campaigners are bemoaning how 'nasty' the Burmese authorities for hampering the aid effort they can have a viewing of Rambo, a film they undoubtedly would sneer at.

The goal of the Burmese government all along has been the complete and total genocide of the Karen people. I made the statement in another post on here that the reason the Burmese government is denying the aid, and taking what little aid has come through for themselves, is because they feel that nature is fighting the war on their side for them, killing off the Karen people. Still there are groups, like mt RL friend and his team, who are being smuggled in to help with the relief efforts.
