Well its finally here, and to be honest I'm pleasantly surprised. The knife is well balanced, the packaging is very neat. The knife itself is well balanced and weighty, the overall dimensions and guise is screen accurate. the pleatherer sheath is thick and sell put togeather...the Hibben 1V name has been placed on the reverse of the sheath...so to respect the collector, rather than having it blatantly on the front, unless this was an assembly fault? The blade is very sharp and well oiled guys. The handle is wrapped with tape, as is the movie version. Iam really surprised and happy with the the overall finish of this knife, as Iam am with the Master Cutlery version, they are about the same in quality, but the United version is slightly more screen accurate. On the whole both knives are worth the money. The MC version does have a real high quality leather sheath, where the UC version has a reconstituted hilt, but even so, well worth the money...at a push, if you want a quality knife, both are equally matched, but if you are looking for screen accuracy, the United Cutlery version pips the two to the post. The UC machete is a lot heavier than the MC version, and the main downside is that the UC taped handle is very sticky, unlike the MC leather version, but if you want screen accuracy, you will have to live with it. :-) Ive had so much grief with this issue, that Iam not going to go into stark detail, I'm just gonna be frank and state the facts in layman's terms, so i do apologize if this analogy seems frugal in description, but the fundamental basics are covered.
