Did anyone of you ever noticed over the years how Rambo is silently looking at the birds in RAMBO: FB part II and then in RAMBO (08). Both scenes happen when he's on the boat and looking out. Since the very first time i saw Rambo II in the late 80's i always interpreted that scene as his wish to be free from his destiny, a way to his inner freedom and peace. When the birds reappeared in the last film, i was astounded at first that Sly tried to incorporate that aspect again after so many years, but then again im always amazed how much such visual details speak about Rambo's soul/personality. Rambo movies have depth in places most people don't pay much attention to.

Yeah, Rambo is pretty suicidal if that's what you're hinting at.
