For me it is Rambo: First Blood Part II. In Greece the movie released with the title: ''Rambo II: The Mission''. The reasons that I like it better than the entire saga are many. First of all the bow. Since then we had a bunch of war/action flicks were the actors fight with the usual weaponry BUT this back in the 1986 was not only something unusual. This is Rambo's trademark including his black clothes, long headdress, his characteristic survival knife and the headband of course. Second the characters. The villains are very obnoxious and violent. Look Lt. Col. Podovsky (Steven Berkoff), Sgt. Yushin (Voyo Goric) and Captain Vinh (William Ghent). They enjoy the pain of war victims in their way each other. That means the actors were very believable and they did a good work with the roles. Almost forgot Co! Vietnamese girl with green eyes such a perfect combination! The only woman in the saga until last movie and don't forget she was the only person could give some love to John. Vinh you bitch!!! Also the action on this flick. Heartbreaking scenes, bang! bang! bang! and Sly in total bad-assness . Just a few movies were so remarkable that time period. Forever will be a classic.

#2. No contest.
#1 Great.
#2 Beyond Awesome!!!! The perfect action movie.
#3 A copy of #2. Would have been awesome if #2 had not happened. Slightly overdone.
#4 Awesome but again Rambo goes into prison to rescue people. Needed an explanation at the beginning of why he is still there, should have been shortly after #3 and for the love of all that is good and holy lets not due #5 in a jungle where Rambo rescues someone from a prison.

I have to say Rambo First Blood Part II also in that It was really the movie that introduced me to Rambo in the first place I wouldn't actually watch First Blood until a year or so later. Rambo III was cool when it came out but I kept going back to FBPII this New Rambo that came out a few years ago seemed to me to be more of a replacement sequel to Part II except for the dreaming sequence that includes the Full-Circle speech. (kind of the way Superman Returns was supposed to nullify Superman III-IV)
