IT'S A "MASTERPIECE", ACTUALLY. NOT A "MOVIE". I'LL WRITE A FULL REVIEW. ANYWAY: 1- THEY CUT THE SCENE FEATURING THE BURNING BABY ( ). I'M SURE THEY CENSORED SOMETHING. 2- THE ENDING WAS CHILLING... HAS RAMBO MORE WHITE HAIR IN THE ENDING, BY THE WAY? I NOTICED AN HUGE WHITE STREAK ON THE LEFT (PLEASE, CONFIRM). 3- GREATEST DIRECTION OF ALL THE TIME. GREATEST. (!!!)

Ok I'm flaky, too much overtime. I've seen the movie twice - I'm in Texas - and I guess I forgot about it playing overseas. To be honest I didn't see a lot of gray hair. I wouldn't call the ending chilling; I guess that's why you lost me there. I am VERY interested in reading your review.

I felt happiness, however. You're right. You'll be surprised by my review, GRANTED. It will be very very insightful.

It was more melancholic than happy.

Saw it twice over the weekend and I loved it.
From the opening news footage of the atrocities happening in Burma to the unbelievable final battle, this film is quite simply one of the most realistically action films in quite some time. Although the battle scenes are extremely violent, they are never gratuitous; Stallone shows war for what it is, stark and brutal. He also effectively portrays the plight of the Karen people including a powerful scene involving a village massacre and successfully manages to get an important message across.
A flaw with the film is that it is too short, there was no real development with the characters which left it feeling somewhat empty. The missionaries and in particularly the mercenaries are not fleshed out enough so there is no real connection with them.
Ultimately of course this is a Rambo movie and that is exactly what you are going to see, so with moments like Rambo's first attack with the bow and arrow, the claymore scene and the final battle, had me cheering with delight. Rambo comes full circle and it is a perfect end to the character.

his hair is lighter at the end cause it's bone dry for once, if you notice in the entire movie while he's in thailand/burma it's wet, from either work related sweat, rain and of coarse blood, lots and lots of blood.

I always thought that was funny. In almost every shot his hair is damp.
