Good thing that he likes it.I remember he was very pissed that Nu Image didn't want anything to do with him when they put Rambo 4 in production. He also didn't like the previous script for Rambo 4 that was considered, which involved Rambo's wife and daughter.

I agree, Rambo should be a lone cowboy but that won't prevent him from wanting and needing what most other men have - a woman of his own, perhaps children. But what is important is the IDEA of these things, perhaps in his reach but he never quite gets there. Part of the story I'm working on deals with this. He is never to have what other (normal?) men have, but that doesn't mean he does not want it. I really appreciate you posting Morrell's comments - helps with character development.

Soquili, A writer? Great. Call me when your story is ready. I'll create a section devoted to fan fiction.

I wonder how Morrell responded to Rambo II? I don't think he would've wanted Rambo to be turned into some kind of super hero lol

Super soldier, please. LOL. Supersoldier lol. Sorry, I've been reading too many bashed reviews of FB part 2 by critics. The term super hero was used a lot If they thought FB II made him look like a superhero, then they need to see Rambo: The Force Of Freedom cartoon, that show had him go through the FB2 dress up sequence before the final conflict in every episode right down to the bandanna despite that he was already wearing it. Rambo in the cartoon and FB2 striked me as what would super robots like Grendizer and Mazinger Z would if they were humans instead of giant robots. Sorry about that, by the time I actually got into Rambo, there was also a craze for old school mecha anime titles in Arabic countries during the 80's and that got me into anime and actually brings out my fanboy side sometimes along with Rambo and James Bond. Anyway, nice to Morrel approves of the movie and mentions the positive reaction from New York Times (these guys actually have good taste most of the time ;D), I bet the guys at the Razzies must've been shitting themselves when they found out Rambo (4) was well recieved by NY Times.LOL

Giant-Robots in Italy are HUGE (no pun intended). I'm a massive BALDIOS fan.

Sorry about that, by the time I actually got into Rambo, there was also a craze for old school mecha anime titles in Arabic countries during the 80's and that got me into anime and actually brings out my fanboy side sometimes along with Rambo and James Bond. Giant-Robots in Italy are HUGE (no pun intended). I'm a massive BALDIOS fan. My special mecha anime is UFO Robot Grendizer aka Atlas UFO Robot aka Goldrake, this title help start the whole anime craze in the Arabic part of the Middle East, ask any Arab especially those of 30 to above a list of their favorite cartoons and the chances are 90% of them will mention Grendizer on their list, not only is it a popular cartoon but a phenomenom, but I guess I don't to tell you since you might know that the samething applies to the Italian fanbase with this title. I'm a BALDIOS fan too, but boy was that anime a major mood downer and also it was unfortunatly dubbed by Venus, the distributor with the most over the top censorship in the Middle East, they even edit out scenes of women with mini-skirts or even kissing hell in their dub of basketball anime Slam Dunk they even removed the mentioning of main character Hanamichi's record of getting rejected by 50 girls and that he has a crush on main female character Haruko Akagi despite how completely obvious it is. Some people will say because it is done to respect muslim culture, BS! That was never the case in the 80s and 90s, hell there are still many Arabic distributors that don't go crazy with censorship like Venus does, nudity I understand and in total support with this since I'm not really a fan of showing nudity to kids but still Venus does lame censors like get this, Venus removes any scenes involving pigs and yet other Arabic and muslim distributors keep these scenes in. And what's worse Venus have so much money they buy the rights to some of the best cartoons out there like DBZ, Animainiacs (I bet you guys can imagine what censoring crime they commited on that show), Batman TAS, Superman TAS, HUNTERXHUNTER..etc And they own their own network Space Toon, which was once referenced as the Arabic response to Cartoon Network. Thank god for MBC, the most viewed Arabic network ever decided to release to their own kids network MBC3. Sorry about the long rant, I'm just pissed that great animes like Baldios has to suffer horrible unneccessary edits on the hands of a company like Venus.

Morell seems to be one of those writers, who doesn't bash movies-based-upon-his-storyes, which is a good thing for Stallone.
The Bond franchise has had quite a few issues regarding rights and properties, most notably with Thunderball.

Although I do remember that he wasn't happy about how First Blood was done, especially the way they dropped the original ending.

The Bond movies are QUITE uneven, if you ask me.
Even if each Rambo movie is different, you can still feel a common taste... a similar groove... the matrix, I guess.
