Tough one....I'll take the Mission knife today for being one hell of a great, dramatic piece of 80ies styling.

I was bored looking around the web one day and decided to see how much a Rambo knife would be. I'd only want a pucker one and they are a little expensive now (as well as being illegal in the UK I believe). It was a guy called Gil Hibben who designed the knife in Rambo III. Have a look at this link and it will give a little explanation and even show pictures of the prototype I mentioned. www.hibbenknives.com/MovieKnives.htmEnjoy! No, they are OK to own in the UK, but you need reasonable excuse for carrying one in a public place.

Are there any limitations in blade design, lenght and such?

Reasonable excuse means a good reason why you would have a knife in your possession in a public place! Its on the onus of the person to prove why he / she needed to have it in their possession, rather than the Police officer having to prove that you were going to use it for crime. The blade must be under 3 inches and must not lock! Basically the only thing you can carry is a pen knife with a blade under 3 inches. You can have ANY knife you want at home, but here is a list of all prohibited knives.....meaning its illegal to buy import, lend hire or give these.
Flick knife Gravity knife Push daggers Butterfly knife Switchblade Knuckle knife Brass knuckles Sword Stick Disguised knives Plastic knives Throwing stars Foot claws Hand Claws Blow Guns Broad head arrow tips Hollow kubotan : a cylindrical container containing a number of sharp spikes. Belt Buckle knife Telescopic truncheon : a truncheon which extends automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring or other device in or attached to its handle. Kusari gama : a length of rope, cord, wire or chain fastened at one end to a sickle. Kyoketsu shoge: a length of rope, cord, wire or chain fastened at one end to a hooked knife. Manrikigusari or kusari : a length of rope, cord, wire or chain fastened at each end to a hard weight or hand grip. Friction Lock, and side handle batons.
There are many many more, but these are just a few from the top of my head.

Some restrictions are so laughable, since everybody could use some kitchen knife to stab somebody. Thanks for the info, Raven!

Its the individual using it, that hurts others, not the knife so to speak.

The Lile for sure, as Jim Buffaloe (the guy who made the sheaths for Liles which were sent out to Stallone) told me that he was heart broken when he saw his sheaths on the big screen distressed, to make it look like the sheath had done 2 or 3 tours of Nam, and it was a regular thing for GI's to buy custom made knives from the states, and to use and carry in the bush.
