Hats off to Brian Tyler for a great soundtrack. He could have tried to enforce his own themes but he paid respectful homage to Jerry Goldsmith's fine work.
I think the music at the end of this film was the best way to end the film. I think I would have cringed had it been a lyrical number. Just the faintest cues of the Rambo theme when he's talking to the girl in the rain or the build up music when he's forging his machete are excellent.
I ordered my copy off Amazon at the beginning of this week.

Yeah I thought the score was very strong. That's why I don't mind sticking around for the 10 minute end credits because of the music. There's a good mix of classic Rambo music, new pumped-up action ('Hunting Mercenaries' is solid gold) and more epic cues such as that at the end of the battle.

Yeah, the music was great.
At least Brian didnt make it too modern.
Thanks Brian.
