I'm thinking of buying the First Blood book, just wondered if anyone has read it and could reccommened it.
I understand the book has something like 25 deaths in it, kinda glad First Blood:The Movie wasn't like this, i like it the way it was, although it would have been interesting......

The book is an excellent read. I remember getting it many years ago and enjoying every minute of it. It's certainly different from the film and paints Teasle as a slightly more sympathetic character and John as less innocent.
The novelisation of the second film, also by David Morrell, wasn't bad either if I remember.

I've read the book, very good....they kept the names the same in the film, wich I liked (Teasle, Gault, Shingleton, Mitch, Orval, etc).
excellent read.

The book and movie are interesting because a lot of the same situations come up, but they turn out completely different. It's definitely a good read.
I haven't read the Rambo II or Rambo III novelizations, but I've enjoyed other David Morrell novels (Totem, Creepers, Brotherhood of the Rose, Fraternity of the Stone were good reads).

The book is fantastic - probably still my favourite of its kind after all these years. Never got around to reading the novelisations for II or III, but they are on my "to do" list.

The is amazing... Rambo is completely different in the book. If they made First Blood like the book, then there would be no sequels. Then again, not many folks like the sequels. Although there are many who like 4. It just makes me wonder if the sequels are necessary or not. I definitely think they are!

Trust me. They made "Rambo" the greatest war icon of 20th century.
