Ramboman, That's true, 'RAMBO' is the only Rambo movie I've seen in a theatre. It gained a special place in my heart since then, of course. But... my first Rocky movie at a theatre was... ROCKY IV! The biggest cinematic experience of my childhood. I was just 8! Jay, you are incredibly lucky! I would give anything to have an experience like that!

Oh God, this is tough. First Blood really made me feel for Rambo. He was pushed, and forced to do what he had to do. The chase scene and the forest montage were some of my favorite Rambo scenes of all time. He was badass, and an outlaw. However, when I think of Rambo, I think of two things. A raging criminal bent on wiping out everyone, or a bandanna-wearing gun-blazing, muscle-bound hero. That's why I voted for Part 2. Part 2, although considered cheesy, shallow, and full of Reagan-era politics, I still loved it. This was the sequel that made Rambo-- RAMBO, it made him iconic. He also had a love interest, and the movie also had the classic russian villan, the Ramb- bow, and an epic soundtrack. It was full of action and still sent a message (although critics never really understood the last part of the film IMO). I think its just a matter of opinion, I like the super-hero larger than life Rambo in this film.

Rambo 2. Best knife, best movie. Essentially a perfect Action movie. Perfect follow up to First Blood which has the emotional as well as action also. I think 3 and 4 are fine but missing that emotional element. You really feel for him in 1 and 2. They are also perfect together as Rambo 2 is a true sequel showing where the character is as a result on the first one and what he has to do.
I mean dang. You feel terrible for him in the first one and in 2 not 20 seconds after he allows himself to care for Co and make plans with her she is killed. Oh you know it's on now.
